D3.3.2: Annual Dissemination and Outreach Report 2
This annual report describes the dissemination and outreach activities for EUDAT during the second year of the project. This document also describes the dissemination products that have been produced (such as the website, newsletters, press releases, and other publications) and the EUDAT events that were held during second reporting period of the project (1 October 2012 – 30 Sept 2013).
2.1. Introduction
iRODS is a community-driven, open-source, data grid software solution www.irods.org. It provides a means for managing large distributed collection of digital objects, maintaining metadata and applying data management policies. iRODS comes with a comprehensive set of generic capabilities (usually in concrete setup only a subset is required).
