The EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure (EUDAT CDI) has signed the EOSC Federation Memorandum of Understanding following its introduction at a ceremony as part of the EOSC Symposium 2025 in Brussels.

EUDAT CDI Council Chair Per Öster signed the agreement signalling the pan-European data infrastructure's commitment to a shared operational and interim governing framework for the piloting phase of the EOSC Federation.

Once brought into production, signatories of the MoU forming the EOSC Federation of nodes will serve as the backbone of Europe’s interoperable, open, and trusted digital infrastructure enabling researchers and innovators to seamlessly access high-quality data and tools across disciplines and national borders.

Since EUDAT's selection as one of the first EOSC Federation nodes in April this year, EUDAT has been an active contributor to the development of the EOSC Federation.
