Celebrate Open Access Week 2016 with OpenAIRE webinars

In occasion of the 9th edition of the International Open Access Week, OpenAIRE has scheduled a full week of webinars expected to shed some light on the implementation of Open Science as well as the activities OpenAIRE is involved in.

24 EUDAT partners involved in the EOSC-Hub project, expected to start in early 2018

The European Commission has successfully reviewed the proposal for the EOSC-hub project, submitted at the end of March 2017 as a Research Innovation Action to the H2020-EINFRA-12-2017(a) call, which is expected to start in early 2018.

Making data and cloud resources interoperable using EUDAT and EGI services

From 22 to 25 January 2018, Porto hosted over 230 participants of EUDAT’s Conference “Putting the EOSC vision into practice”. Attendees included policy makers, service providers and research communities representatives from 25 countries working on various data challenges and disciplines. One of the sessions was dedicated to the results accomplished by the collaboration between EGI and EUDAT for the implementation of a production cross-infrastructure offering seamless access to data and high-throughput computing resources. The work of the collaboration involved concrete user communities in the design process. This helped both EGI and EUDAT to better shape their services so as to match real needs of their users.

EUDAT cross-border use cases

The successful edition of the EOSC-hub week 2020 is over. EUDAT has contributed to the session Issues in Cross-Border Consumption of Resources in EOSC, with the presentation “EUDAT cross-border use cases” given by Mark van de Sanden, SURFsara and EUDAT Technical Coordinator.

EUDAT 1st User Forum : Collaborative Data Infrastructure (CDI) services crucial to the European research community were unveiled at the inaugural EUDAT User Forum, held in Barcelona from 7-8 March 2012. The first User Forum gathered more than 60 participants, including representatives from 18 research communities across Europe.
