From 23-27 September 2019, EUDAT CDI and PRACE organised a Summer School on "Managing scientific data from analysis to long term archiving".

EUDAT and Japanese Research Organization of Information and Systems collaboration

With the conviction that expanding and enlarging scientific collaboration across the globe can only improve and increase access to knowledge and hence support global societal challenges, Kimmo Koski, EUDAT coordinator and Managing Director CSC – IT Center for Science, Finland and Genshiro Kitagawa, President Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS) Japan signed a collaboration agreement on 25th February 2015.

DECI and EUDAT joint call for proposals for HPC Compute Resource is now open! Closing Date 21/09/2015!

DECI, the Distributed European Computing Initiative, provides cross-national access to European Tier-1 HPC resources (national systems). The DECI-13 call is managed by the PRACE Optional Programme with support from PRACE aisbl. This call is issued as a pilot call jointly with EUDAT. Together, we offer the opportunity to make awards of compute and data resources to projects that also have needs for storage capacity and associated data services. Applicants may apply for both the DECI and EUDAT calls at the same time or may apply to just one of the calls.

Krákow will be the home of the first joint event organised by the major European e-Infrastructure initiatives (EGI, EUDAT, GÉANT, OpenAIRE and RDA Europe). EUDAT will contribute to the event with two presentations and a training session. The first presentation B2FIND: A Cross-Discipline Metadata Service and Discovery Portal focuses on B2FIND, one of the EUDAT B2service suite. B2FIND is a unique multi-disciplinary joint metadata catalogue of research data collections stored in EUDAT data centres and other repositories. 1st EUDAT User Forum

The 1st EUDAT User Forum took place on 7-8 March 2012 in Barcelona and gathered more than 60 participants, including representatives from 18 research communities across Europe.

EUDAT 1st Conference

The 1st EUDAT Conference took place from 22-24 October 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. This international event brought together data infrastructure providers and practitioners from across the globe to discuss current data infrastructure challenges and solutions.
