EUDAT is privileged to have close and collaborative relations with many research infrastructures and e-Infrastructures. At present, there are seven core communities – CLARIN , ELIXIR , ENES , EPOS , ICOS , LTER Europe and VPH in the consortium covering the Language & Literature, Biological sciences, Earth and related environmental sciences and Medical biotechnologies disciplines. Experience shows that actively involving user communities in all steps is a must for infrastructure projects, and increases the likelihood of broader uptake of  developed services . EUDAT and PRACE are joining forces to help research communities gain access to high quality managed e-Infrastructures whose resources can be connected together to enable cross-utilization use cases and make them accessible without any technical barrier. The capability to couple data and compute resources together is considered one of the key factors to accelerate scientific innovation and advance research frontiers. This collaboration has already achieved relevant results as five cross-projects, ranging from different scientific fields, have been granted to use approximately 400TB of storage space at different EUDAT centres . The 12th International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC17) will take place on 20-23 February 2017 at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland, with the purpose of bringing together digital curation professionals and educators with data producers and consumers to consider digital curation in a multi-disciplinary context.
