The 9th edition of the RDA Plenary will take place next week in Barcelona, Spain, organised by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) with the support of RDA Europe. |
EUDAT will be involved in several workshops and presentations:
- EUDAT Semantic Working Group Workshop, 3-4 April 2017: Thi 2-day workshop is dedicated to discuss on how to enhance the discoverability and interoperability of the existing domain specific semantic resources (i.e. ontologies/vocabularies) and the existing repositories as well as the various type of scientific semantic resources (e.g. SPARQL endpoints, Linked Data endpoint, FAIR data points). The aim is to improve the reuse of these resources for data annotations and interlinking with external data resources within the EUDAT infrastructure.
- BlueBRIDGE Workshop - FAIR friendly research data catalogues: How far are we?, 3 April 2017: This free workshop, organised by European Project BlueBridge, aims to bring together representatives of H2020 projects, e-infrastructures and other European initiatives currently dealing with research data catalogues, to understand how they are approaching the FAIR principles, what status they are at and to discuss together how to move forward. EUDAT representative Heinrich Widmann will contribute to the discussion during his talk "EUDAT-B2FIND: A FAIR-friendly and interdisciplinary data catalogue".
- INDIGO DataCloud Event - Data Management Services in the Cloud, 4 April 2017: This meeting, organised by INDIGO DataCloud, will revolve around the hot topic of "Data Management Services in the Cloud" and is open to all research communities and cloud service providers. In this occasion, EUDAT representative Sarah Jones will discuss about EUDAT services and approach.
